  • I worked in the CVT PCU department(s) in the hospital. Amazing assignment. Great staff, hospital and patients. The flow is safe and allows you to provide great care. UCSF is safety focused. Lots of different things created towards nurses to make their jobs easier and less tasks so time consuming. They pay their staff well and staff are happy. Very fair to travelers. One of my favorite assignments! 09/02/2019

  • I worked in the M/S ICU department(s) in the hospital. Would highly recommend traveling to this facility. Great pay, great breaks, and great assignments.     • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was San Francisco RV Resort. Housing was located in city of Pacifica. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. We live in an RV and thought living in Pacifica to be you best bet. Much cheaper and only 20 minute commute to work and/or city.
  • I worked in the CVICU department(s) in the hospital. The hospital is very welcoming to travelers and the nursing ratio is the best I have seen in all hospitals I have worked in. It is a teaching hospital so there is a learning curve with the hierarchy of residents. Less nursing autonomy because it is a teaching hospital, but you're also expected to know if the doctors are making questionable decisions. Parking is very expensive. About $30 each shift during the week. But public transportation is plentiful in this area. I live outside of the city which is what most people do. San Francisco is beautiful and the hospital is very close to the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. 01/21/2016

On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. Excellent access to public transportation, walking distance to shopping, grocery store,library, restaurants,banks.
