  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. This was my first travel assignment and I extended a further 3 months because it was a great hospital. It is part of a union, so if a traveler is floated, it is just to another ICU. Everyone is very accepting of travelers. However (I don't know what is like other places as far as taking specialty patients), they didn't let travelers take any transplant patients. Even if they were being evaluated by the transplant team, no travelers could be associated with that team. Also held true with CV patients, no travelers got assigned balloon pumps or impellas even if you have experience. However once you've been there a few days they will start giving you the more critical patients. A wonderful hospital to work for. 06/06/2018
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was City View apartments. Housing was located in city of St. Louis. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. I stayed in some fairly inexpensive apartments and rented furniture from a local company. Very nice apartments, however the smell of weed went thoughout the building.
  • I worked in the emergency department(s) in the hospital. Very traveler friendly in the ED. However spent a week doing just healthstreams for the hospital. 08/16/2014
