  • I worked in the cicu department(s) in the hospital. I worked in the CICU and was floated daily. typical work day was to get a patient assignment and give meds/ do rounds/get orders/ do orders/ chart and then be floated to another ICU where there was a patient that was being "watched" by the charge nurse. This patient would have nothing done with them since night shift so I would again have to give meds/do new orders/chart etc. Happened very frequently. When I spoke up, I was told "thats why you make the big bucks". They tried to float me to ER and take patients and I absolutely refused. They scheduled me sporadically with no more than 2 days scheduled at a time so I felt like I never left the place. I was scheduled a full weekend every other weekend and then at least 1-2 weekend days the other weekends so I never had a weekend off in 13 weeks. The staff was rude accept for a few nurses who were extremely nice and were the only thing keeping that moral going. The patient population was typical. The last day I was actually grabbed by a fellow employee who got in my face and yelled at me because I allowed three patients back instead of two, even though the Dr requested all available family be present for the bad news. I left in tears and before that I honestly cant remember the last time I cried. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there to work. I would rather be homeless. 05/16/2019
  • Housing was approximately 60 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was I got my own housing. Housing was located in city of st. petersburg. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I lived in my own house
  • I worked in the Oncology Med-Surg department(s) in the hospital. Not friendly at all, everyone seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. They dumped on travelers, we got the worst of all the worst cases. We got floated. We worked our butts off and rarely found help to move a patient. No friendly at all, and I get along well with everyone. The regular staff had little compassion for their patients. The staff was more interested in planning their after work parties. The majority of our patients were drug seekers, non cancerous. They were loud and very demanding. It was just a terrible experience!!! 08/10/2014
  • Housing was approximately 9 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Seven Springs Apt. Housing was located in city of Seven Springs. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. The apartment was wonderful, not near a bus route, so I had to get a car - not good. The neighborhoods were horrible, screaming and yelling. Our pool was filled with kids from all over, so when it worked we stayed away.
