  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. Peacehealth SW in Vancouver was a great facility overall. The ER was well staffed with float and break nurses. The scheduler was flexible with staffs schedule. The rooms are outdated and small but there is plenty of equipment and supplies. 01/30/2021
  • Housing was approximately NA mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was NA. Housing was located in city of NA. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Housing does not apply to my review. I travel in my RV.
  • I worked in the float pool department(s) in the hospital. Staffing office was super. Hospital seemed pretty organized but a bit militant about parking and security. It seems like a pretty low crime area but there was always security gaurds running around. They had a camera in the chapel??? 09/11/2015

  • I worked in the CVICU department(s) in the hospital. I really enjoyed my stay here as did the few other travelers that I met. Many travelers in the ICU and CVICU extended. I floated once in my two contracts. Staff was wonderful to work with. They know their stuff and are dedicated to providing excellent patient care. They treated me as one of their regular staff members. They are also the only hospital I've traveled to that had a monitor tech AND a CNA employed in the unit (no other hospital ICU has had either so far). My only complaint was the scheduling - I had no say in it and got assigned many weekends - three weekends in a row at least once per each contract. However, my stay was so pleasant here I didn't make an issue out of it. The layout of the unit was very easy to navigate around and pretty convenient for the most part. The ICU's are in a new beautiful building. Orientation was good - I had exposure to every piece of equipment and common nursing supply prior to touching a patient - the ONLY facility that did this. Best experience by far in traveling! 05/04/2014
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of Portland. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I rented an apartment in SE Oregon off of I-205. It was a straight shot and only about a 20 minute drive to work.
  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. This is a busy 54 bed level 2 trauma center. Few pediatric patients seen. Everyone was welcoming and helpful and even thankful as they had some recent staffing changes, etc. My assignment was short and orientation was one night only so I figured a lot of it out as I went--and everyone was glad to help and answer my questions. I don't know that this hospital will have travelers much more but would definitely recommend it. The area is fantastic--tons of hiking close by, great biking, coast an hour away and mt hood an hour away, great breweries and restaurants and shopping. 11/08/2013
