  • I worked in the Med Surg department(s) in the hospital. 04/29/2020
  • Housing was approximately 4 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was PRpugh Riders Campground . Housing was located in city of Minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the Medical floor 5E department(s) in the hospital. The hospital is old. Equipment outdated. Nothing evet works correctly, they use the hand held care mobile devicw and it never works. My badge would not scan so i could enter the hospital or clock into kronos. I was told to stand at door until another nurse arrived and would let me into the building. The CNAs don't do anything but bathe the pt and spend the rest of their shift eating or standing around. Nurses overworked the traveler gets all the admissions and discharges, charge nurse sits on her butt and orders you around even when you are drowning. They discharge patients into the street with no ride home. You have to have a seco d nurse to verify i sin but no one will answer you to verify. Parking is awful. Cafeteria closed at night. They Dont do straight 12 hour shifts. They try to make you wotk split shifts. 11/21/2016
  • Housing was approximately 3 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was 1 minot management. Housing was located in city of Minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Housing is ok, had to rent furniture. The grounds were not kept clean. No assigned parking, so you were lucky to have a pal e yo park when hou got back from work. Someone in parking lot tried to start a fight. Loud music all hours. Poor lighting. Had to climb 3 flight of stairs. Asked for 1st floor and was told, not available.
  • I worked in the Med/surg department(s) in the hospital. Only rated cafeteria 1 because it's closed for the entirety of night shift, which is 'unsatisfactory'. 05/16/2016
  • Housing was approximately Na mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Na. Housing was located in city of Minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. Na
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. I am a Minot native and worked here a couple years ago as a full time nurse for two years before I started traveling. Staff in the ICU is very accepting and helpful to travel nurses. Many Philippine nurses have been brought in and have fair English skills. Housing was expensive at the time but it has since gone down due to the oil boom dwindling. They never give you more than two patients unless there are three floor patients-which rarely happens. You will be required to float to other units, but mainly to the PCU first. Required D/N rotate or straight noc shift. No possibility for days only position. Management treats their staff nurses horribly but treat their travelers and Philippine nurses great, so it is a great place to do travel work for great pay, but I would not sign on full time with them. This is likely why their need for travelers remains so high. 04/21/2016
  • Housing was approximately 0.2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Summit Park. Housing was located in city of Minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3.
  • I worked in the med surg-5 east department(s) in the hospital. Not a whole lot to do mid winter but I expected this; cost of living is very high. Its in the middle of nowhere. I don't know if it was just this unit, but I found the nursing staff-specifically the nurses-unwelcoming, sometimes condascending to travelers. 02/22/2016
  • Housing was approximately 5-7 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was candlewood suites. Housing was located in city of minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. very expensive but well located
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. This was my very first travel assignment. Hospital was ok, ICU staff were friendly for the most part. The ICU manager was not approachable, unfriendly. Doctors were good to work with and readily available. Not alot to do in Minot, but close to Canada and Lake Sakakawea. Strawberry Lake is about 45 minutes outside of Minot, small sandy beach and pet friendly. 01/31/2015
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was I dont remember but it was brand new and very nice, Josh was the manager. Housing was located in city of Minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • first minot management buildings are awful and maintenance is a joke. Literally fixed the leaking toilet with duct tape and were rude when called back because it was still leaking. 06/27/2013
  • I worked in the 5th - Medical department(s) in the hospital. staffing models never followed, nurse:patient often 1:10 or more, one evening we were 1:12 with no CNAs. security is ancient and fat, with all the detoxers and violent patients it takes forever to get assistance. Housing was approximately 0.5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was 1st minot management. Housing was located in city of minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1.
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. People are friendly and willing to help you find what the area has to offer. Roads are kept clean during the winter. Winter is cold and not a lot of activities in the area at that time. I always felt safe in the city. This is a growing hospital and could benefit from magnet status in its growth to support the nurses. 03/19/2013
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Imm. Housing was located in city of Minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Housing is over priced and the people who run these companies for housing are running a scam. Nothing is included and rent is unbelievable high. This town is not very pet friendly so our furry friends are at a loss here.
  • I worked in the 5e department(s) in the hospital. do not go here. take any other assignment offered. 02/20/2013

  • I worked in the 5e - medical department(s) in the hospital. absolutely horrendous. travelers make up approx 65% of the staff (from all disciplines - rt, nurses/aides, pt, even a ct and rad tech!). hospital is poorly ran, staff has low morale. nurse to patient ratios are bad, nights have regularly 1:8 and 1:9, and one night i had 1:13. the managers lie about the type of units you will be placed on and the pt to nurse ratio. money is great becayuse they will pay whatever to get you to stay. apartment smelt smokey.
  • I worked in the 5E department(s) in the hospital. 09/10/2012
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was West Oaks. Housing was located in city of Minot. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. The condo itself would have received a good rating except the upstairs (bedroom area) AC did not work and it was summertime.
