  • I worked in the CICU/CVICU department(s) in the hospital. The mission statement is prevalent throughout the hospital from every employee. This is an environment where questions encouraged and if the answer is not known it is sought out and found, then that information is given to satisfy the question. 11/06/2014
    • Housing was approximately 9 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Aspen Hills. Housing was located in city of Meridian. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Beautiful grounds, fitness center, business center, manager is very personable and the maintenance manager assisted with carrying heavy items up to the third floor for me! Well furnished and quiet.
  • I worked in the med/surg department(s) in the hospital. One of - if not the best hospital I have had the pleasure of working in in the past 13 years. Be careful if you are not finished traveling - after working at St.Al's you may not want to go anywhere else! Boise is a very social city with plenty to do for singles or couples - very outdoor and fitness focused with rafting, skiing, hiking, and biking all near by. Multiple social clubs for getting to know people - hash house harriers, www.meetin.org, www.meetup.com. Decent live music scene for a small city and very friendly people! 03/27/2008
    • Housing was approximately 2.5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Benchmark Apartments. Housing was located in city of Boise. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Had a big nice furnished corporate apartment - it was an older building - the management was incredibly nice and laid back. I would have thought it more fun to live downtown in the middle of Boise - easier for vising cafes and such - though it was only a 10 minute drive, and finding parking wasn't half as bad as in a large city.
  • I worked in the medical and general surgical department(s) in the hospital. This is the best hospital I have been to in the past 10 years - they really try to do a great job and bend over backwards to help the patients. I am treated as any other staff nurse. The staffing ratio is the best I have seen. They have a lot of resources if you need help with something. 01/02/2008

On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Not super flash - but very friendly - in the summer my neighbors were having barbecues in the parking lot. Very convenient to shopping and the hospital. Ten minutes to downtown Boise. Brown carpet, white walls. Spacious. Sometimes noisy.
