  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. Hospital has lots of travelers, maybe 25% of staff, but is chronically understaffed, at least on my unit. Organization is somewhat chaotic. The computer charting system was antiquated and horrible. I felt very much welcomed by most of the staff on my unit, though morale was not the greatest there due to a lot of unhappiness with the interim manager and conflict between shifts. Night staff could park in the parking garage. Hospital is trying to achieve magnet status but I feel this will not happen until they get a better computer program and improve staffing policies. 03/15/2007
  • Housing was approximately 0.9 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was The Bradford. Housing was located in city of Hagerstown. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. It was pretty nice housing, apt. was quiet and roomy with a balcony. There was a fitness center which I never received a passcard for. Laundry facilities were in the basement and expensive. I'd rate it a 5 except for chronic problems with hot water, and inadequate parking for my building.
