  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. This ER is not geared for new travelers. You have to be ready to hit the ground running. Most of the staff (nurses and doctors) are all very new and on several occasions, orders were inappropriate and/dangerous. The nursing staff was hit or miss. Some were incredibly helpful, others were far from welcoming. Staff takes 30 min dinner breaks and then a 2 hr lunch break. I floated to the ICU several times and it wasn't uncommon for staff to disappear for hours and then be found sleeping at the desk. The ratios varied by how many hall beds were utilized but, as long as you have had experience in busy ER's, it is manageable. Their trauma rooms are CHAOS, too many chiefs. I like a challenge so I would work there again. 10/08/2020
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Hotel. Housing was located in city of New YOrk. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I stayed in nice hotel. Commute was less than desirable
