  • I worked in the Med Surg department(s) in the hospital. This hospital is very unsafe and doesn't care about patient safety. I had a charge nurse and doctor tell me to let my patient who was in rapid a fib die. The policies (if you can find them) are outdated, charting system is Paragon/Allscripts and was a really outdated version of it, patient safety is not a consideration (almost all patients were restrained without orders, even saw patients restrained with pillowcases taped to their hands. Addressed this issue with management and nothing was done), outdated and minimal supplies, nurses do not use any critical thinking skills. Doctors do not come to the unit but write detailed notes about how they "Discussed care with the nursing staff". In my 13 week contract, I met one doctor who made any effort to collaborate with staff. The nursing staff and techs were extremely friendly and helpful (with the exception of the charge nurse who told me to let my patient die) which was the only saving grace of this contract. I do not recommend working at this facility. 07/06/2020
