  • I worked in the Progressive care department(s) in the hospital. I worked in the pcu there. It was awful. The charting system was MedHost which is 20x worse than meditech. The charge nurses were no help and often made comments to me saying "well you're a travel nurse, if you don't know how to page a doctor maybe you shouldn't have became one." It was my second day and I didn't know how the system worked. Blood transfusions are on a paper charting system. The charge rn went out of her way multiple times to make sure that I had the worst assignment bc again "she's a travel nurse and she gets paid WAY more than we do. I always had the crap show patients. 02/18/2021
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was 151 Hwy 164. Housing was located in city of Hallsville. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1.
  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. Worst assignment I have ever taken! This hospital is an accident waiting to happen! Aides on floor "disappeared", had to do their work as well as your own. Staffing 5:1, but, the acuity levels off the charts-no rhyme or reason to getting admits! Core staff new or very limited time as RNs, lots of travelers. Could not rely on charge RN to be available for decompensating patients, ignored calls for assistance. Tele techs often left station to go out for "smoke" with charge RN or only one in tele room when 3 were scheduled for 55 patients! Core RNs often worked double shifts due to lack of coverage. Was in fear of losing my license every time I worked my shift! Stay away from this facility! 07/02/2020
