  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. I LOVE this unit! The hospital as a whole was great. They had a really good hospitalist group. They always had a doctor who covered nights, so they were awake, you weren't waking them up when you called and during the day I never had issues. You are always 3:1 on PCU and tele during days and nights. sometimes 4:1 on tele. M/S, when I floated was usually 4:1 but occasionally 5:1. But everyone was willing to help on all units I was on 05/14/2020
  • Housing was approximately 8 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was independent. Housing was located in city of Lakewood. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I found my own personal housing. I lived in Lakewood. Lakewood, Wheat Ridge and Arvada are all 0-20 minutes from the hospital and are safe and a good distance from downtown Denver and the mountains
  • I worked in the Internal Medicine department(s) in the hospital. Pros and cons. The management and overall staff culture is extremely anal and nit picky. Can be rather unwelcoming to travelers which makes for a difficult adjustment. Once you get passed that, the hospital is an easy one. Work load is light. Acuity on med surg is low. They will bite you for not documenting every detail, dating IV tubes with the appropriate stickers, any little thing they have to get you for. I felt a little targeted as a traveler there. Not a bad hospital over all in regards to actual work load. 01/08/2020
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Personal home. Housing was located in city of Arvada. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I found mine on furnished finders
