  • I worked in the Emergency Department department(s) in the hospital. I worked in the ER at this facility. It is a level 1 trauma teaching facility. Staff is very nice and helpful. Most staff nurses are new grads. This ER is very high acuity, and feels unsafe at times. It is common to have multiple ICU level patients at once. The department doesn't flow well. There are a lot of tedious things that slow you down during the day. I am very busy for the entirety of my shift. You rarely get lunch break coverage. It is a very hard place to work, but your coworkers here are great. The ED providers, including the resident docs are awesome. Temple is about an hour from Austin TX, which is an amazing city any time of the year! 12/03/2019
  • Housing was approximately 60 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was VRBO. Housing was located in city of Austin. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I found housing on VRBO and messaged the landlord privately. I lived in North Austin (by the Domain) and it took me about an hour to get to/from work. Austin is a great place to live. There are so many places to hike around with your dog (like Walnut creek park and Zilker Park), cool bars and restaurants, festivals, farmers markets, etc.
