  • I worked in the Med/Surg Float department(s) in the hospital. 2019: Med-Surg Floated to all med-surg units (north and South side) Also between two hospitals in different towns. Big difference between the North side of the hospital and Southside in regards to equipments and overall appearance. Nurses had to do blood sugars. Imagine having 6 diabetic patients. Chasing blood sugar all shift. Ration 1:5:6 (mostly 6). Short staff with nurses and CNA's. Self scheduling in a plus. 09/30/2019
    • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Town Creek. Housing was located in city of Gainsville. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Location was great. Found: Towne Creek apartment on my own. Quiet and lovely place to stay. I would give it a 4 out of 5. A lot of restaurants and shopping center close by
  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Great place to work. It has its efficiency flaws but overall I enjoyed my time there.doctors and staff alike are sooo GREAT!!!!! Travelers tend to stay there and become staff or extend for year. I am definitely planning on returning. 08/16/2019
    • Housing was approximately 25 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Airbnb. Housing was located in city of Lawerencville. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Living 30min from hospital is not a problem at all. Staff is willing to room travelers so that is also an option
  • I worked in the Icu department(s) in the hospital. Worked all of the ICU’s. Never floated to other areas of the hospital. Staff in some departments can be a little clique. Staff was welcoming. 06/03/2019
    • Housing was approximately 30 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was RV. Housing was located in city of Helen. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I travel in an RV.
  • I worked in the ICU float department(s) in the hospital. Self scheduling. Free parking. Floated to all ICUs. Never floated to PCUs or floors. Every ICU has a clique. Travelers make up quite a bit of the ICU staff yet are the definite outsiders of the hospital. Was tripled multiple times during my assignment. Recommend if time off and self scheduling are important to you. 11/19/2018
    • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Airbnb. Housing was located in city of Gainesville. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. Picked a great location off the lake but the landlord did not honor lease agreement.
