  • I worked in the Float pool/ED transition department(s) in the hospital. Staff here is so friendly, thankful to have help, kind, and works together as a great team, Doctors are super friendly as well. I extended here and wish I could extend again! Amazing place to work. I am a tele nurse. 02/21/2020
  • Housing was approximately N/A mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/A. Housing was located in city of N/A. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. Found own housing
  • I worked in the ER Hold/PCU department(s) in the hospital. This Hospital is a mess. Poor leadership, disorganized, and some physicians are almost impossible to contact. I was ER HOLD/PCU, but of course was floated regularly. This is expected. On PCU the ratio is supposed to be 3:1. I always had 4. Then I spoke up (went above the CN) and this was rectified. Equipment poorly maintained, non-functioning, or not available for whatever reason. Staffed by young new nurses who thought they knew everything. No help to transport patients to various departments, and transport monitors were hard to find. So much gossiping and back stabbing, I was happy to float. Patient population is very heavy on ETOH/OD/street drugs. Not enough sitters, resulting in frequent falls. Bed alarms would ring forever because CNA’s were expected to care for >12-15 patients. I was happy when my contract ended. I have a camper van, so never have a problem finding housing. 09/06/2019
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/A. Housing was located in city of Lakewood. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. N/A
  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. Staff was fairly friendly, lots of being placed on call or attempting to place you on call. Hospital is small with limited capabilites. Many patient rooms are double rooms which can be a pain. I was not allowed to choose my own schedule. pt population is heavy on psych and alcohol due to the area it's located in. Tacoma is a very nice place to live would recommend living there, lots to do, beautiful area. They use EPIC charting which is nice and efficient. 06/19/2018
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Northpoint at Creekside. Housing was located in city of Tacoma. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Apartment complex was very nice in a good location, close to the sound and point defiance park (best thing in Tacoma) just make sure to give adequate notice of ending your lease moving out.
  • I worked in the Outpatient Oncology department(s) in the hospital. This was the worst assignment I’ve ever taken. Horrible management. Unprofessional, late on deadlines and acts like a teenager. On top of that they have hardly any patients, a nurse is cancelled every day and everyone is sent home several hours early. They make you work through lunch so they can close the clinic early and cut staff. Barely any oncology patients. I’m talking 1 a day. The rest is iron, remicade and injections. Half on paper still. It really was horrible. 05/16/2018
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Green Leaf Pacifica. Housing was located in city of Tacoma. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I took company housing and this is where they put me as I was floating between Lakewood and tacoma. The place was nice and updated.
