- I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Broadlawns is a county hospital with a small OR but the entire team is eager to help with any task. Unlike larger hospitals, the OR staff is not broken in to teams for each specialty; rather, each member works each specialty (General, Ortho, Eyes, GYN, C-Section, Endo, ENT, Plastic, Dental, Podiatry). Despite its size, the OR stays fairly busy during the week. I am going to miss the OR team very much.
I fell in love with the city of Des Moines and have explored every chance I have gotten. There are so many options for food, entertainment, museums, shows, sport, and shopping. Rent is reasonable and not difficult to find. 11/03/2017
Housing was approximately 8 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Airbnb. Housing was located in city of West Des Moines. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I found my own housing on Airbnb and hit the housing jackpot as far as location, cost, and host.
