  • I worked in the PACU department(s) in the hospital. Small town living, people are generally very nice. The PACU has very bad morale. They did not say calls in my contract but tried to force me to take calls. Evidently I was not the first traveler they did this mean trick to. Work days 5/week and you can be on call on a weekday night and still need to show up the next day. Management does not support PACU staff. CRNA control the OR and PACU and treat PACU nurses in a horrible way. You may find an exception but that is generally the culture. Note: you may also get bored here, work is easy and the difficulty is the culture, not the work. Harassment is not unusual if you stand up for yourself. I heard better experience from travelers in other departments. 06/03/2020
