  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. Parking is close, cafeteria is closed on weekends, doctors are nice to nurses and I never had any problems getting what I needed. I worked ICU and had a great experience. Got to make my own schedule, was of course the first to float to PCU but that was expected. Meditech was challenging but not impossible 12/07/2020
    • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Bayhead RV Park. Housing was located in city of Tallahassee . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. We took out RV and stayed in it
  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. It’s an HCA Hospital so of course outs going to be horrible and I should have known... This ER is so chaotic. They don’t do an actual triage so your patients get put in your rooms with MAYBE vitals sound and an EKG but the director is big on “direct bedding.” The techs are no where to be found because all they do is transport patients when they’re admitted. And when you can find one, they give you attitude and often say no. Like what?! The monitors don’t automatically cross over so you have to manually input all vital signs. They utilize “hallway” zones which turns a 29-bed ER into a 60 bed ER. The hallways are crowded because all the patients, family members, nurses, and IV carts are in the way. Often you have to run your own blood at the POC station and then also send it down to the lab. You run urine and throat/nasal swabs. Since they have a “fast track” area, all of your patients are full work ups and if you’re drowning, often times the charge is also drowning so it’s hard to get help. The staff is also EXTREMELY CATTY. They talk bad about everyone and the gossip (though juicy) is rampant in the hospital. Even the managers are in on it. It’s insane and emotionally exhausting. Sometime when it’s super busy, you can’t find parking! Definitely would not recommend here and I will NEVER go back. The scrubs are black. 04/05/2020
