  • I worked in the Operating Room department(s) in the hospital. Elliot Hospital is a great place to work. Their operating room runs very well even though they staff travelers (new nurses to OR, staff turnover). The staff are very accepting of travelers and I was very impressed by the level of teamwork displayed by the staff. The support departments for the operating room (PACU, Pre-op, same day surgery, sterile processing) are all excellent. Charge nurses and leadership are very knowledgeable about OR standards and protocol and are very approachable. I have never worked with anesthesia providers that were as skilled as those at the Elliot. I turned a 13 week assignment into 9 months and I am returning for a another assignment in a few weeks. There is TONS to do in or near Manchester. A short drive/train ride to Boston, the mountains are beautiful, Maine is excellent and Lake Champlain is breathtaking. 03/09/2016
    • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was The Residences at Manchester Place. Housing was located in city of Manchester. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. The apartment was marketed as "luxury" and while it was a nice place and had convenient gated parking in a garage, and was in the middle of town I wouldn't call it luxury. Manchester as a town is not great (lots of drug abuse and sketchy areas) but there are multiple neighboring towns that are very nice.
