  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. Food : Indian place called guru House of currey something amazing Float: happens not as fun because there is no progressive unit so you could get Two potentially very sick patients in regards to being on telemetry. Staffing: Thanks California ratio laws You will never be assigned more than what is allowed. If a patient is wild use of a sitter is fairly common Scheduling: Some days you could be on for four in a row off for one and then back on for four in a row but not common Staff: mostly nice 12/12/2020
  • Housing was approximately 25 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Airbnb. Housing was located in city of Pleasonton. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Lived further away but If you stay in Oakland do not leave stuff in your car not even a charging cable. If you have a trunk cover make sure it is retracted and showing the boot of your suv is empty or else you will get a broken window and they don’t choose a big window the chose a small quarter panel windows which run 400$. Pleasonton is as the name implies pleasant. Nice small town vibe little restaurants very walkable about 15 min away from some the best Chardonnay wine makes in the country and world ( watch a movie called bottle shock) recommend wente winery and have their Nth degree Chardonnay
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. They floated me to the floor many many many times!! I did not realize ICU was used as the float pool so my experience was not good! Then once floated, the floor nurses were not always helpful or organized. I wouldn't go back. 12/17/2016
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/a. Housing was located in city of Berkeley . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. Used VrBo and Airbnb
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. I worked in the ICU department. Their biggest problem is the lack of the leadership. Their ICU is very disorganized, they have high staff turnover. The environment is nasty, toilets in patients' rooms don't work, so nurses have carry urine and feces to the dirty utility room and dump it there. I've met some great nurses, but also a lot of the lazy ones. The best advice I've got on my first day was from another traveller, he said - "watch your back". I think that is true for both clinical and non-clinical issues. 12/24/2015
