- I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. Providers are great; facilty is a teaching hospital. Nurses work their butts off and the emergency department is usually very, very, busy. 05/04/2021
Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Air B&B . Housing was located in city of Springfield . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Springfield is a tourist town so summertime, the number of available air B&Bs go down and their prices skyrocket - I worked in the Med surgery department(s) in the hospital. Manager treats travelers like slaves. Defames , over works , slander , lies about events. Terminates at will , destroying carriers. No supplies when needed. Sick’s her dogs on you!,,

Housing was approximately Na mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Na. Housing was located in city of Na. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. Na. - I worked in the Surgical department(s) in the hospital. Absolutely adored the people I worked with here...this hospital has such great teamwork and it shows. Nurse to patient ratio is a problem, but however, that's Illinois and many other states for you. One thing I will say is if you are a traveler, you MUST float everytime...I'm warning you now. When asked about their policy that travelers must always float, hospital could not produce protocol or policy on floating. What was nice was the girls on my unit often voted to float in my place...such wonderful staff here...you deal mostly with residents and not the actual physicians, and some residents there could use an ego check once in awhile. Otherwise easy to work with. 08/21/2016

Commuted from my home - I worked in the O.R. department(s) in the hospital. Nice facility. Sometimes I wouldn't get lunch until 1-2 hours before my shift was over but that comes with the territory. 12/05/2015
Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Orchard Park Apt. Housing was located in city of Springfiled. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Was deemed unsafe area by co-workers but quiet neighborhood for me. Thy had covered garages so no issue with any break-ins. The complex was key entry only, rent was reasonable for 1 bed furnished all inclusive. Allows pets.
