  • I worked in the brain and spine department(s) in the hospital. parking for travelers was much better than parking for general staff. expensive, so try to work that into your contract. i only ever floated to other areas of brain and spine hospital. they are well staffed with float pool nurses to cover other areas. the hospital is chronically short staffed and had a huge need for travelers, but some levels of management/NPs/iv nurses didnt seem to respect travel nurses. my manager was great, and the other nurses i worked with were supportive, but i felt overall the hospital needed a lesson in respecting the travelers. 08/11/2017
  • Housing was approximately n/a mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of n/a. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. i found my own housing. most people i talked to found there own housing. columbus is huge and transient, lots of housing options available
  • I worked in the Neuro ICU department(s) in the hospital. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The hospital is beautiful. The james building is brand new. ICU only floats to other ICU's. I only floated a total of 3 times my whole contract. My schedule was fair, and the staff was willing to switch if needed. Lots to do in Columbus. The Grandview area has a lot of great restaurants and breweries. Ill be back. 07/23/2017
  • Housing was approximately 8 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was private . Housing was located in city of Clintionville. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. Not safe. Too many acutely ill patients with too few staff and no regard to safety. All about profit instead of patient care. 05/23/2017
  • Housing was approximately 20 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was None. Housing was located in city of Columbus. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. None
  • I worked in the CVOR department(s) in the hospital. Extremely understaffed. Nurses are much nicer and understanding to travelers than the Surgical Techs. Surgeons are impatient and want their staff only. Management is the worst part of the entire department. No organization skills. 02/26/2016
  • Housing was approximately 30 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Private rental . Housing was located in city of Plain City . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I found my own housing via Facebook. Could not be happier.
  • I worked in the Med/Surg-Tele department(s) in the hospital. Getting access to the system and getting through the background check was horrible. It seems as if nobody in administration knows anything when it comes to travelers. Wish there were one contact person who could be a resource, but it seems as if you are on your own. 04/22/2015
  • Housing was approximately 8 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/A. Housing was located in city of Columbus. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Take the stipend
