4 thoughts on “Chesapeake Medical Staffing”
#7,8, and 12 were a 4 only because there was not a number for not applicable. I love working for CMS. They keep me working and my recruiter is great.
Recruiter always goes above and beyond. Friendly, professional, and encouraging. Agency staff is helpful and responsive. They make the credentialing process a breeze. CMS is a great place to work.
I have been an agency/ travel nurse at CMS for over t years now. Not only have I had an amazing experience working throughout hospitals in the Maryland region, Chesapeake has become a family to me. They brought me into the company just short of two years as a RN, and have continued supporting and promoting myself throughout the company. In addition to clinical nursing, CMS provides opportunity for growth and advancement in the nursing career. Now staffing New Jersey, Delaware, NY, Virginia and many more states, the opportunities are endless. They offer 401k with match, healthcare benefits, PTO, referral and completion bonuses. The support and communication from the staff is remarkable. Great company, great benefits and endless room for growth. Join Chesapeake today!
The agency staff are very quick to respond when you need them; they do work very hard and are very efficient. Paychecks are never an issue but agency has reduced pay rates compared to some other agencies. Also, no completion bonus. An upside to how pay is handled compared to other agencies though is: if you’re sick/family emergency and cannot work you just don’t get paid. Some other agencies will make the nurse pay THEM if you cannot work. I’ll take the trade off of a couple dollars less an hour and the possibility of being cancelled some shifts over paying hefty fines if I have a family emergency. A plus side to Chesapeake is they have agreements with a lot of organizations in addition to hospitals in the Baltimore/Washington area. Therefore, if a nurse would like per diem or contract work other than hospitals; it’s an option with this agency.
