Where a Travel Nurse Wants to be on July 4th

One of the many wonderful benefits of traveling is the ability to pick where you want to be at any given moment. You may have to do a little calling around and planning, but you can do it. You can create anything you want.

That being said, where would you want to be on July 4th for example? You can go to http://gurukul.american.edu/heintz/fourth.htm and find a July 4th database compiled by James Heintz at the American University in Washington, D.C. According to James Heintz, Washington, D.C. has a fabulous 4th of July celebration. They actually report having the largest fireworks display in the country. Boston has a harborfest that last for a week and includes a grande finale of fireworks. Bristol Rhode Island has the longest running 4th of July event in America. While, Lititz Pennsylvania has the oldest continuous community wide celebration in the United States since 1818. With a little research, you can find the perfect celebration that fits you and go. The location is no longer an obstacle.

Let’s say you really love fireworks and would like to see them a different times of the year. Go to www.fireworksguide.com, to find some of the most spectacular firework displays are all year around. For example, Fireworks Displays and Shows Worldwide claim that Louisville, Kentucky has the largest display of fireworks in the United States every year. The fireworks happen as part of the Kentucky Derby Festival in April.

If I could be anywhere on the 4th of July for the fireworks, I would go to Florida where I have some special memories. That’s the beauty of traveling. You can be where you want to be and do what you want to do. You have such freedom to create the life you want to live. Nursing is great that way and traveling makes it even better. Get out your calendars and start creating. No telling what you might come up with for the year. July 4th is just one example of the many events you can plan to go to this year.
