  • I took the stipend and stayed at a nearby hotel. Champaign/Urbana is a college town, and during the school year housing is almost impossible to find. Do NOT let them place you at the Westgate apartments! High crime, low maintenance. 05/30/2013
  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Look out if you are going to take a position in the OR: they do NOT give breaks, do not staff so people can get their breaks. Not ONCE did I get an afternoon break since I've been here, and only very rarely a morning break. Had my company inquire, the response was, quote: "Breaks are not a priority. Short turnover times and patient care are our priorities." As though the two are mutually exclusive! Beware ... they don't care. Housing was approximately n/a mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of n/a. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2.
