  • I worked in the SPD department(s) in the hospital. Stay away from the SPD here....managed by a former peri-op nurse with NO SPD experience. Scarey stuff being done here.....I decided to not finish my contract, did not want my name on any "sterile" product from that department.... Staff here are like a nest of vipers.....if your not in the room, your on the menu! 11/11/2016
  • Housing was approximately 7 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was None. Housing was located in city of Boulder. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Good luck finding housing! Super expensive. I found a share house with an ICU nurse, it was close and reasonable.

  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Cancelled my contract before start after shuffling of permanent employees, but not before I had secured apt, put down deposit, etc. I had worked there 2 years prior off and on as traveler. Love Boulder but this hospital horribly mismanaged by a gaggle of lazy buffoons. Would never work there again. Try University in Longmont to get close to Boulder. 03/23/2016
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was self. Housing was located in city of boulder. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Housing was self.
  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Worst management of a hospital OR ever. Horribly understaffed, One manager for every five employees, ever -changing schedules and call requirements, get specific in your contract before signing. Struggle every day to get 20 cases done in 8 ORs. This is a brand new OR in fall of 2014 but have lost 6 surgeons in 6 mos. Daily created chaos and staff without strong skills. Boulder is beautiful but this OR is managed by inexeperienced and blundering management. Team morale and can-do attitudes are non-existent. 08/18/2015
  • Housing was approximately 3 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was own. Housing was located in city of boulder. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. Good luck finding it affordable and short term in Boulder.
  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Boulder Community Hospital is by far the best hospital I've ever worked at! Staff here are super friendly and so are the surgeons. I befriended everyone within my first week here. I'm a surgical tech so I only worked in the OR and I can't comment about other departments. I would come back to work here in a heart beat as long as it's not during the cold season. Cafeteria food is decent but overpriced so I would bring my lunch. 03/18/2015
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Own housing . Housing was located in city of Longmont. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Private housing within 15 miles or 20 minutes from hospital.
  • I worked in the PACU department(s) in the hospital. Area is beautiful. Weather is bad even into April. Still lots of snow and ice. No housing. I have to live approx 15 miles away and commute. Roads are not accomodating to commuters. Extensive commute times because roads arectwo lane only. 04/21/2013
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Extenede Stay. Housing was located in city of westminster. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Run down. Hallway smells like urine. Staff is nice and I am allowed to keep my dog. My agency did not offer housing in Boulder. Apparently there is none. Large student population and extremely expensive area. I was encouraged to take the housing. The extended stays in Boulder run 125.00 per day. Not affordable.
