  • I worked in the ED/MSICU department(s) in the hospital. No uniform requirements- some wear t-shirts and scrub pants. Very reasonable manager and helpful staff. They make it a point to include travelers "as one of their own", but almost everyone asks "oh are you a traveler?" or "I didn't know you were a traveler". However, there are a ton of travelers throughout the hospital- almost seems like more than staff some days! But on that note, several travelers are on their 3 or 4th extension or have come back after another assignment. Docs are all pretty nice. They use Doc Halo secure messaging app- you can and are encouraged to have your personal cell out to contact MDs. You can send pics and attachments of pt condition/labs/wounds. Cafeteria is great and the online ordering makes it super convenient. Sometimes it's hard to take a break and you have to be assertive and ask coworkers to listen out while you run down. No parking on most of the first floor of the garage- for MDs only. I did have my car broken into (well, my dumb ass left it unlocked) and security wasn't able to view my car from that angle of cameras- the dude took a bulky blanket and iPad, among other small things. I have no idea how he got in/out the garage without them seeing (security office is in the garage). Idiot added himself to my Amazon addresses. Police took a report but never did anything. Overall still a great experience- renewal signed! Things to do? Chaffee zoo was a lot of fun and pretty cheap. Tons of Antique shops- I lived in Tower district which was fun. Haven't checked out Yosemite yet due to the gov't shutdown but Snowboarding at China Peak was super fun! 02/02/2019
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was AirBnB Palm/Olive. Housing was located in city of Fresno. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. AirBnB can be hard to find in advance. Granville realty owns several complexes but they are difficult to get ahold of. We're still chiecking them out in person for my extension. But we also have dogs and want private housing so that is a big deal. A fellow traveler had difficulty finding housing in walking distance because she didn't bring her car.
  • I worked in the CVICU department(s) in the hospital. Manager plays games. I had an issue with a staff member and when I confronted management about the issue they did nothing. When I was able to get out of the contract they claimed I never talked to them. They use Cerner charting but that is about the only modern technology they use. Very small hospital. Would not recommend. They treat their travelers like garbage. 03/08/2017
  • Housing was approximately n/a mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of n/a. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. I provided my own housing.
  • I worked in the nursing department(s) in the hospital. The ER nurses are poorly trained and lack basic nursing knowledge. Too many Asians working here- feel like you are in MANILA PHILLIPINES(low rent section). 11/05/2015
  • Housing was approximately 12 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of Clovis. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Find a safe area that is not in Fresno.
