  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. They provide uniforms to travelers unfortunately they are used. Scheduling varied for the time that I was there, the schedule changes every 5-6 weeks, ended up working day shift, mids and night shift while I was there. Travelers I noticed worked almost all weekends. Travelers don't work triage. Parking is $79/month and the lot assigned is far away almost a mile away from the hospital, on the weekends you can park in the structure next to the hospital. Staff is super friendly to travelers, a lot of the staff started off as travelers. Doctors are nice too. You are only allowed to extend your contract once. I really liked my time there, learned a lot. 02/07/2018
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was The Gallery at Noho. Housing was located in city of North Hollywood. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Housing was far from the hospital with traffic, normally took up to 40 minutes to get to the hospital. Housing was infested with cockroaches.
  • I worked in the med surg float pool department(s) in the hospital. I LOVE LOVE LOVE UCLA. Best hospital I have worked in by far! They have very safe ratios. Never more than 4 patients even at night. I floated to almost every unit (other than ICU's) and staff was very helpful and friendly and willing to teach. EPIC charting. Plenty of supplies/resources. Have a lift team, transport, surveillance nurses, charge doesn't take patients, very well organized and run. I never felt stressed at this job. Uniform scrubs, dark blue that they provide, which I liked. I can't speak highly enough of UCLA. Parking is kind of far during the day, at night you can park right next to the hospital, parking is 80$/mo. I street parked without too much of an issue though. Only subway for food at night in the hospital, but cafeteria during the day with lots of options. Fell in love with LA. 06/28/2017
