  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. I traveled to this hospital 3 different times and always extended, one time for an entire year. It's a rural hospital in a small town, but it was a very nice new facility and up to date technology. The staff were all great and I am still friends with tons of people who work there. Very travel friendly. There isn't a whole lot to do in the town, but you are only a couple hours from Omaha or Denver so it's an easy weekend getaway. There are a couple of lakes in the area which is fun in the summer. 01/06/2020
  • Housing was approximately 3 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Sandridge apartments. Housing was located in city of North Platte. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I stayed at this apartment complex 2 different times, one in a 1 bedroom and then a 2 bedroom. It's a smaller complex with no pool or really any amenities but it is clean and safe and I never had any problems.
  • I worked in the MEDSURG department(s) in the hospital. Travelers are expected to have more patients, precept new nurses, work extra, and present to department meetings with NO excuses! You will have your schedule changed. Very clicky and every staff member is unhappy but feel they have nowhere else to work and this personality shows in the work. Do not expect the directors or supervisors or charge nurses to help out on the floor. The directors and supervisors are NON EXISTANT. Beautiful place with so much technology that you cannot utilize it all which is sad. Housing is difficult to find and only 1 or 2 RV parks are worth staying long term at. The others are TRASH. 08/28/2019
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Holiday RV . Housing was located in city of North Platte. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. I have my own RV and Holiday RV is the best park in this town.
  • I worked in the OB department(s) in the hospital. I was very well accepted by the staff, never treated badly or given the worst patients. I was given the opportunity to help in NICU and up my experience there. It is a small unit and the staff work all areas as much as possible, including L&D, PP, Peds. NICU had it's own staff, some of who could also work the floor as needed. 11/13/2017
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was family. Housing was located in city of Maxwell. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. didn't use travel housing, lived in my RV in my son's backyard.
  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. Staff was unwelcoming and acted like Jr High cheerleaders. Helped 'their own' but otherwise hostile. Bullies. Would never recommend to anyone looking for a good experience. 08/12/2017
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was private rental. Housing was located in city of North Platte. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the Med/Surg department(s) in the hospital. This was my first contract back in 2014. The old tower was in operation for patient care while the new tower was being constructed. This was (and is still) my favorite contract I've taken. Yes, the town of North Platte is as boring as you'd think any Nebraskan town would be...home to Buffalo Bill and Nebraskaland Days in June...that's about it. However, the hospital was amazing!! Very efficient, very well organized, very friendly staff toward travelers. The hospital also had a unique zero bullying policy in effect, which extended to physicians and mid-levels. It made for such a pleasant, professional atmosphere to work in. This was the only place I've ever WANTED to work overtime and be called-in. I would return only if the pay wasn't so low and if I didn't feel like I'd be bored again outside of work. Omaha is only a few hours away and definitely worth the trip down!! 06/09/2016

  • I worked in the Cath Lab department(s) in the hospital. For a cath lab, they primarily run a cardiology clinic and do a few heart caths per week. If you are looking for a cath lab assignment, this is not it, this a cardiology clinic.
  • I worked in the Icu department(s) in the hospital. Amazing staff. Treat you like family. Staff are not happy with the way the hospital treats them, but I was happy with the way I was treated. Every one in Nebraska is nice. Lol. Not many true Icu patients, although the sick one comes every now and then. A lot of PCI/cards intervention. I have an rv so housing was easy...there is a housing shortage and a lot of the travelers stay in a hotel. 11/12/2015
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was holiday rv park. Housing was located in city of North platte . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Rv park was wonderful, hotels in the area a lot of them were expensive.
  • I worked in the Med/Surg department(s) in the hospital. If you're of color this is not the place to work for. Discrimination was definitely witnessed here. Staff is very cliquish. 03/31/2015
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was .. Housing was located in city of North Platte. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1.
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. There were a lot of other travelers there while I was there, so we had a pretty good time. The staff in the ICU was great. I know those who worked the med/surg floors did not really like it. Many of the physicians are not competent. Lots of fun things to do in the area if you enjoy the outdoors. Cody Park is a lot of fun--great ice cream. Great steak house there. Everything is very easy to get to in town. If you go to work ICU, you should be OK. 10/18/2012
