  • I worked in the Med/Surg department(s) in the hospital. I was given NO orientation, just thrown out there on my first night and given a full load of patients. Most people there are travelers because they cannot keep regular staff. Everyone was too busy with their own patient load to help me or answer questions that I had. It is definitely a sink or swim experience. 10/25/2007
