  • I worked in the PCU/MST department(s) in the hospital. I’m one third through my contract now, so enough time has passed to give a fairly thorough review. 1) I basically float between the two campuses and nine different units. Across the board. 95% of staff and management have been very friendly and helpful. It can be difficult getting to know your way around nine different units, but it gets easier every day. 2) Scheduling has been great for me: three in a row, four off, three in a row, seven off. I like block scheduling, and they’ve provided it. 3) Technology is Cerner, a new program to me. I don’t like it but it’s not going away. 4) Staffing is average. 3:1 in PCU and 5:1 MST. Usually there are CNA’s (1:10) to help with lights, vs, and cbg checks. If it’s short staffed, it can get ugly. I’m not sure staffing tries to replace for call offs. It doesn’t seem like it, but I could be wrong. No breaks other than lunch. The latest I’ve gotten out was 8 o’clock. 5) Parking is dismal at the west campus. Currently building a parking garage, but since I have a high top van, it wouldn’t benefit me anyway. No parking problems at the East campus since there’s more space. 6) Location is great if you’re into hiking, biking and other outdoor stuff. No clue about housing since I live out of a camper van. There is a planet fitness close by for those in the same situation. Overall, one of the best facilities I’ve travelled to. I’ll return next winter if there is a need. 01/22/2020

  • Rustic, cabin atmosphere. Landlord is terrific. Easy to meet and visit with others staying here. Full kitchen, living area, bathroom. I love it! Walking and hiking trails adjacent to the property. Gorgeous views. Check it out!!!
  • I worked in the Tele/MS department(s) in the hospital. Very traveler friendly. One of the easiest assignments I've had. 05/03/2007
  • Housing was approximately 4 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Villas at the Ridge. Housing was located in city of Prescott. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Apartment were old condos. Judging by the lay out of the inside and the pool area I think they were built for elderly retirees years ago. Wouldn't recommend them to young travelers used to living in luxurious new or well-kept apartments with great amenities.
