  • I worked in the Male health ward department(s) in the hospital. Let me start by saying i worked as a agency nurse there. Before you are brought into the facility, they make you sign a waiver that they do not negotiate for your life with prisoner as they/prison guards "laugh" while saying it. Took care of ventilated pt in a room within the male health ward. I was separetes from the rest of the nursing staff which has keys and is locked in a safe separate room from me. Aides assisting the nurses are prisoners with special privileges they assist nursing staff. The rn in the day shift where unfriendly & looked irritated that I was even there. It was the worst place to work.....never in a lifetime would I ever work in an atmosphere were I did not know that I would be protected. Scary 01/20/2013
