  • I worked in the Telemetry department(s) in the hospital. This has got to be one of the worst assignments I’ve ever had. I have seen some scary, reckless poor nursing and physician care here. No one questions anything and doesn’t care the extent to even think about it- totally unsafe for patients. Travelers get the worst assignments-totally dumped on. I’ve seen patients who haven’t had any type of nutrition for over a week without concern, DNR/actively dying patients with orders for labs, monitoring, oral meds when they haven’t opened their eyes in a month, been told overnight by doctors “I’m not dealing with it- if they survive the night have the day doc address” ?!? No protocols that anyone knows of, no one wants to help you or their own patients (call lights will go on for over 10 minutes and people will be sitting their watching it go off.) charge nurse sent someone home early one day and a patient was left unassigned and their call light was going off for over an hour before anyone realized they hadn’t been assigned a nurse for hours!!! I can’t make this stuff up. Oh and if your drowning the best advice to bring your own floaties- because believe me there isn’t one person who will save you. These poor patients. Counting down the days until it’s over! 06/24/2020
