  • I worked in the Med/Tele Float department(s) in the hospital. This was my first travel gig and it overall was great. There were many bumps along the way, but ALL if the staff has been fantastic and helpful. I floated between most adult units with the exception of the ED and ICU and never had a bad night. Everyone works as a team. They use Halo texting, so it is really easy to get ahold of physicians and other staff. If you arent looking for a destination, this is a great assignment. However, it is close to charlotte with plenty to do there and the beach is only a few hours away. 05/15/2019
  • Housing was approximately 40 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Family. Housing was located in city of Albemarle. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. This assignment was very strenuous. The staff is mostly travelers. But helpful. The charting system is Cerner, Nurse care, and Epic. Ridiculous! They keep their patients for weeks at a time. I thought I was working at a LTAC hospital. Really? They do MRSA swabs on everybody every Tuesday! I was in total shock when they told me that! Which explains why the majority of the patients on the floor is isolation. They were in the process of redesigning the unit. They changed managers while I was there. The Clinical coordinator was great! I was asked if I would come back after the changes were made to the unit. My answer was if you change your charting system and the Tuesday swabbing was stopped I will. 09/20/2017
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Stayed with family. Housing was located in city of Monroe, NC. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I did not have housing at this assignment. But I did research the rental properties there and it was pricey, which lead me to stay with family, because the housing is cost was too much for what I would be getting.
