  • I worked in the CVICU department(s) in the hospital. Cardiac only hospital with ER, interventional/surgery areas, ICU and 3 PCU areas. EPIC starting 08/2017. ER does treat all pts that come in but transfer anything noncardiac to downtown campus a block away. Float to PCUs with 4:1 ratio but great PCT help. ICU is a mixed bag and could be dangerous if you let it. Travelers take fresh hearts, Impellas and IABP as trained. There are no orders for fresh surgeries, the instructions you get from nurses are to 'write the orders you need and the doctor will sign them'. Cardiac med box in room with surgeries for 24 hours. You are told you can use anything in that box, just write the order for it. Surgeons take call on pts without problem and will give orders so you don't have to 'write what you need'. Refused unsafe assignment without problems. Self scheduling, no problems with requests off. 07/27/2017
  • Housing was approximately 7 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was self. Housing was located in city of Albuquerque. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Several apartment buildings in city take short term lease for nurses, RV parks mostly on west end of town on I40 or other side of mountain to east. Housing extremely tight Sept-Oct for Balloon Fiesta and prices double these months.
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. Many travelers. ICU ratio is 3:1-they aren't too critical however, can and will get floated to medsurg(7:1), if dayshift doesn't like you they will cut contract short, buyer beware....no skills to be done here 04/28/2017
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was LOCAL. Housing was located in city of Helena. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. No extended stays nears by, not many rental choices AT ALL....only 3 hotels which are not in good shape
