  • I worked in the 10 LM- Neuro Tele department(s) in the hospital. Staffing ratios explained in interview was 1:6 but ended up being 1:8-9 most nights. Manager yelled at me in the middle of the nurses station on my first day off orientation bc I still didn't have the correct Epic access. She blamed me and my company but in fact she is the one who had control authorizing what access I had. I had been trying to get the correct access since my first day. I was there 2 months and still didn't have access to glucometers either. The charge nurse takes patients on days and nights. No resource. Some CNAs are very hit or miss with tasks being done and give attitude when asked to do something. Labs never got drawn aside from am labs but if anything was ordered outside of that you could not count on it being drawn unless you called lab despite the order being processed and sent to them. One time I was told they didn't have any phlebotomists until 8pm, it was 6pm when I called. Teamwork is not consistent on this floor. The entire staff hates it and even a few of the new grad nurses have been upset asking if this is what being a nurse is really like. It was disheartening. The city, however, seems like a neat area. Lake Michigan is beautiful, especially at sunset. Ice fishing is a must in the winter! I've heard the patios are great in warmer temperatures. 02/11/2017
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Friend in the area. Housing was located in city of Glendale. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1.
  • I worked in the 6KLM department(s) in the hospital. Management was not great to work for. Nurse to patient ratio is too high, staffing is completely inadequate, nurses were manifested to work16 hour shifts frequently. Not a place I would recommend. Only thing good is the pay. 09/13/2016
