  • I worked in the L&D department(s) in the hospital. Not a safe area at all, it borders Compton. The hospital only has basic emergency facilities, but the ER was always overflowing into the hallway. The L&D still uses mostly paper charting. To do a c/s you had to take the elevator down to the second floor, Not great in an emergency situation. The L&D nurses to not circulate there own c/s so you may have to wait for an OR nurse to come in on call. Some very lazy nurses, so be prepared to take care of all the patients, while the charge nurse puts your paper chart together if you're lucky. I could go on and on. 07/12/2016
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was rented a room. Housing was located in city of Long Beach. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Do not stay anywhere new the hospital. There are many cities close enough to be able to stay in a safe area, Culver City, Long Beach, Santa Monica to name a few.
