  • I worked in the Oncology department(s) in the hospital. They give you typically 5-6 patients on day shift. This is normally a blend of oncology unit patients and Skilled nursing patients. Very confusing because two different types of cheating in one shift. No ward clerk to enter orders on days and no CNA most shifts. They don't provide a mobile phone and expect you to run to the desk everytime the phone rings, even if you're in a room caring for a patient. No breaks, no lunch. Pharmacy makes you run 5 stories down for meds and MARs. Float 2-3 times a week. Mandatory overtime. Hey called every day of the week at home about random things (ie a bath you couldn't get to). Computer failed to log in half the time, had to do a hard reboot often. Two separate log ins for labs vs charting. Super cumbersome, last resort on earth contract. Permanent staff always angry and getting written up. 05/04/2016
  • Housing was approximately .2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Comfort inn. Housing was located in city of Abilene. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. Housing was a hotel paid for out of pocket.
