  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. Teaching hospital..... excruciating wait times for Rad and lab results. 2 plus hours.... Residents disregard the nurses and requests for pain meds or updating the patients. It isn't my job to tell someone they have cancer..... No communication or respect between departments. Holding patients for days in the ER. No idea what is happening with the pt because of no communication. Page doctors several times with no return calls. Having two intubated one on one patients and two full cardiac work up with no help is a little difficult and unreasonable. the pt staff ratio may be 4/1 but not acceptable by any means. Shouldn't take two hours to get a read that pt has a hemothorax !!!!! or a ruptured renal artery. The majority of the staff were very happy to have additional help so they were nice... 04/06/2016
