  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. This assignment was very enjoyable. Excellent staff, very helpful and easily approachable. There is not a whole lot in Homestead due to the rural area between Miami and the start of the Florida Keys. Big migrant population for patients in addition to farmer and fishing families. Small hospital with 4 OR rooms. 10/21/2015
  • Housing was approximately 25 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was The Hammocks. Housing was located in city of Kendall. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. The Hammocks was a wonderful place but a lot of traffic from when you get off the Florida Turnpike. Great Peruvian food place called Aromas del Peru across the street. Very close to bike path around lake, schools and shopping areas. If you enjoy Italian food and good pizza there's not a whole lot of it around Miami. It was an ok drive to the hospital overall, the location is the best of both worlds if you like South Beach
