  • I worked in the Stepdown/icu department(s) in the hospital. Overall, an average experience as a first time traveler. Enough resources to get your job done even if you do have to fight a little more than regular staff to get it. There is a lot of resentment towards travel nurses here from full time staff. Some people are glad to see you, especially management, but there's a lot of staff that constantly bring up traveler's pay and how easy we must have it. Travelers are floated first. I was assigned to stepdown, but was floated to ICU and ED overflow once to twice a week. ICU was great for me, all friendly and helpful staff, safe assignments the days I was floated. Overflow is not my cup of tea, very unorganized, unclean, cramped work area. Some of the most resentful nurses were here. I would come back but just know what I'm getting myself into with those who resent us. 02/18/2017
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. Housing was located in city of A friend. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3.
  • I worked in the icu department(s) in the hospital. understaffed completely unsafe would not recommend to anyone traveling. No computer orientation. Ratios were dangerous everyone tripled with no respect to acuity of pt load. travelers given the toughest assignments. 1 fellow traveler was given pt load of 6 different pts in one shift whuke the staff nurse had orders to move but sat on their pt and charge kept making traveler continue to get the admission including a rapid and code. 10/14/2016

  • This was my first travel assignment since 1989. It's now 2004! An excellent experience! I would recommend this hospital to any traveler. Many travelers come back to this hospital for several assignments or take permanent jobs. Just an FYI . . hospital mandates you take several hospital-specific CEU's courses but they are offered to you free & you get CEU credit for them! Also, you are expected to float. I floated to a total of five different units but all were med/surg. Everyone was always nice and I wasn't given the hardest patients on the unit.
  • I worked in the Med/Surg department(s) in the hospital. Housing was approximately N/A mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/A. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Housing is limited but nice I hear. I took the housing stipend and communted as I live in Orlando.
